Role Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative/Call Center Agent with arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences to healthcare providers across the country. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming phone calls from healthcare providers regarding benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits, and other related inquiries
- Creating written correspondence if issues were not resolved during the call, ensuring timely and effective communication with providers
- Conducting provider outreach phone calls to collect missing information from medical providers, facilitating seamless communication and resolution
- Routing inquiries needing further investigation to the appropriate department and conducting routine case checks as needed, ensuring accurate and efficient issue resolution
- Completing all relevant documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends, maintaining accurate records and metrics
Required Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of remote phone customer service experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare terminology and regulations
- 2+ years of prior work-from-home experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences in a remote setting
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using CRM software and other customer service tools
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- 2+ years of healthcare industry experience in a Provider (hospital/doctor's office) setting, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulations
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology systems
- Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM)
