As a remote Data Entry Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with pharmacists, patients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless data management and customer service.

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing patient data, processing prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. This role requires strong data management skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities

* Manage patient data, including prescription information, patient demographics, and medical history

  • Process prescriptions, including entering patient information, verifying prescriptions, and processing payments
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information
  • Troubleshoot data entry issues, including resolving errors, discrepancies, and missing information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient data, prescriptions, and other relevant information
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, patients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless data management and customer service
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior management, including data entry errors, customer complaints, and other relevant issues

Task Duties

* Use arenaflex's prescription information access strategies and systems to manage patient data and process prescriptions

  • Enter new patient registration information into the system, including demographic data, medical history, and other relevant information
  • Handle patient prescription requests, including verifying prescriptions, processing payments, and resolving issues
  • Troubleshoot to attain missing prescription information, including interpreting medical abbreviations (SIG codes)
  • Resolve all data entry associated exceptions, including errors, discrepancies, and missing information
  • Handle correspondence to patients, including inbound calls, chats, and emails, and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed
  • Resolve 1/3 party rejects by reviewing, gathering facts, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan needs
  • Make phone calls to insurers and others to achieve information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve the 1/3 party rejects
  • Provide assistance to pharmacists, both those inside the facility and those at other locations
  • Identify and communicate troubles to senior management as suitable

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills, including starting and shutting down a laptop, using a mouse to click and type, starting and closing applications, transferring between programs, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online
  • Primary internet skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs in the correct area, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and filling out forms online
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills, including a minimum of 25 WPM, touch typing, and formatting files
  • Speak effectively in writing and verbally
  • 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

* At least 365 days of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment

  • At least 18 months of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration via state as granted by the state board of pharmacy or nationally recognized certification corporation
  • Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including assembling pleasant standards for offerings, and assessment of customer pride
  • Intermediate to superior keyboarding abilities, including a minimum of 35 WPM, touch typing, and formatting files
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
