Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative - Phone Agent to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Service Operations team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer support, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative - Phone Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer support and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Handling high-volume inquiries in a fast-paced environment
  • Gathering customer information, assessing and fulfilling customer needs, and educating customers where applicable
  • Troubleshooting customer issues over the telephone
  • Demonstrating a passion for excellence in treating and caring for customers
  • Working collaboratively with the Front Line Manager, Customer Service, and other team members to achieve customer satisfaction goals
  • Adapting to new skills and change, and embracing a customer-centric approach to problem-solving
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting customer interactions and issues

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a call center or help desk capacity, with financial service experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to simultaneously navigate multiple systems and computer screens while engaging a customer over the phone
  • Proficiency in customer services software and tech applications such as Microsoft Office/Teams, SABA, and Ultipro
  • Strong decision-making and analytical abilities
  • Ability to handle high-volume inquiries in a fast-paced environment
  • Open-minded and adaptable with a willingness to learn new skills and change
  • Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is not required, but is highly preferred

* Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High-speed internet and a dedicated workspace in the home

Training and Development

As a new hire, you'll participate in a comprehensive training program that includes:

  • Mandatory training schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm ET or 9:00am-6:00pm ET) for six weeks (3 weeks classroom, 3 weeks nesting)
  • Training will cover customer service principles, product knowledge, and technical skills
  • You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced trainers and team members
  • You'll receive feedback and coaching to help you succeed in your role

Work Environment

As a remote Customer Service Representative - Phone Agent, you'll work from the comfort of your own home. You'll need to have:
