Job Summary

As a Customs Trade Coordinator at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders. You will be responsible for processing and managing customs documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Process and manage customs documentation, including import and export declarations, certificates of origin, and other relevant documents

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, carriers, and government agencies, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations, trade agreements, and other international standards
  • Analyze and resolve complex customs-related issues, including discrepancies and errors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, carriers, and government agencies
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations, laws, and procedures, and implement changes as necessary

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, logistics, or business administration

  • At least 6 months of experience in a customs-related role, preferably in a logistics or transportation company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex customs-related issues and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of work and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with customs software and systems, including Automated Broker Interface (ABI) and Automated Export System (AES)

  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, including the Harmonized System (HS) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation procedures, including customs clearance and freight forwarding
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish, French, or Mandarin
