Junior Accountant
Outova is a premier distributor of outdoor living products, seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily financial operations. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, Sales Tax Filings, Journal Entries, and Expense Reports
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of journal entries
- Process employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
- Help support payroll processing by gathering and verifying employee data
- Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain documentation and filing systems for financial records
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments and invoicing
- Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
- Preferred experience with SAGE 100
