Senior Director, Enterprise Accreditations & Continual Improvement

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

We’re looking for a senior leader to own and strengthen how we manage enterprise credentials, audit readiness, compliance frameworks, and mission assurance across the company.

In this role, you’ll lead governance of ISO, AS9100, and CMMI certifications, ensuring we’re prepared, compliant, and operating with discipline. You’ll oversee audits and appraisals, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the corporate common process and supporting tools, metrics, and process assets operate as a cohesive enterprise capability.

Your work will directly influence contract eligibility, audit defensibility, certification integrity, and how effectively we deliver for our customers. You’ll also serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on readiness, risk, process maturity, and performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead strategy and governance for ISO, AS9100, and CMMI certifications, including readiness, sustainment, and certification integrity

  • Own external audits and appraisals, including planning, evidence readiness, execution, issue resolution, and corrective actions

  • Ensure alignment of the corporate common process with key standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, AS9100, AS6500, and applicable CMMI models

  • Oversee enterprise metrics that provide visibility into audit readiness, traceability, and performance

  • Govern mission assurance tools (Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint) and supporting workflows for document control, workflow approvals, process navigation, and reporting

  • Lead mission assurance training and adoption of processes, tools, metrics, and standards-aligned ways of working

  • Manage external partners supporting multi-site certifications and enterprise appraisals

  • Partner across quality, engineering, mission assurance, operations, IT, and business leadership, and advise senior leadership on compliance and readiness.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, business, information systems, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Progressive leadership experience in quality, mission assurance, compliance, process governance, accreditation, or continual improvement within a large, complex organization

  • Experience leading ISO, AS9100, and/or CMMI governance, readiness, certification, surveillance, or appraisal activities

  • Deep understanding of audits, corrective actions, process governance, configuration control, and standards implementation

  • Experience building or governing enterprise operating frameworks that connect compliance requirements to execution discipline and business performance

  • Proven ability to influence across functions and work with senior executives, including in multi-site environments

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with enterprise metrics, workflow tools, training programs, and vendor-supported compliance capabilities

  • ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor

  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced degree

  • Additional lead auditor, quality, process improvement, or program management certifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, government contracting, or other regulated environments

  • Familiarity with enterprise workflow, analytics, and document control tools

  • Demonstrated success integrating accreditation requirements, process rigor, and operational execution at scale
