Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Assisting pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer, while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Filling prescriptions under direct pharmacist supervision, including bringing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labeling, and pricing prescriptions, while following safety and security procedures.
• Preparing third-party insurance claims, processing invoices, and making accounting entries using our computerized system.
• Ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking prescription drugs and supplies, while following product storage procedures and standards.
• Ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking over-the-counter products in accordance with our merchandising plan for the department, creating product signs, and conducting over-the-counter roaming.
• Providing remote data entry of prescriptions for all Ontario arenaflex Pharmacies.
• Assisting in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.

Guaranteed Hours and Schedule

As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk, you can expect to work a guaranteed 25-40 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift. Your schedule will be determined in consultation with your manager to ensure that you're able to meet the needs of the team and our customers.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Education/Training: A completed pharmacy diploma from a Community College.
• Licenses/Certifications: A certification as required by the province where applicable.
• Experience: Candidates with current pharmacy experience will be given preference.
• Knowledge/Skills: Preferred knowledge of Kroll software.
