Please see the notice from the Search Adjunct - Human Services Location: SCCC - Newton, NJ Date Posted: 09/17/2023 Schedule: Part-Time Type: Sussex Faculty Company: Sussex County Community College Job Description Sussex County Community College is in immediate need to hire a qualified applicant to teach Social Welfare Policy (HUMS 205), this is a hybrid course taught in person on campus and asynchronously, this spring (2024). * *Immediate consideration and communication will be given to applicants with the availability and qualifications to teach in-person, on campus this fall. The spring semester starts on January 22nd, 2024. Future courses may be offered in the Spring of 2025. NOTE: Qualified and eligible applicants may be contacted at a future date. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work. Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations; expertise in teaching the generalist practice perspective of Social Work specifically as it relates to social welfare policy, online/remote teaching, advanced certifications, or license, and a flexible schedule (morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend courses may be available). Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills needed. 3+ years of applicable experience and prior teaching experience is strongly preferred. The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use for our online and remote teaching is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or similar learning platform is preferred. Although not a requirement strong technical and computer proficiency is recommended.

• Prior teaching experience and knowledge of online instruction strongly preferred.

• NJ, NY, and PA residence recommended.
• Availability to travel to campus when/if necessary.
