Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, resolving issues in a timely manner, and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems. You will work closely with our supervisor to ensure that all calls are answered and handled appropriately, and that our patients receive the highest level of care. This is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)

  • Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
  • Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
  • Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
  • Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • 1 year of call center or phone experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
