Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you will work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families. You will help them understand their medical bills, answer any questions they may have, and resolve account balances with them. Key Responsibilities:

* Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing, and often times unexpected, medical bills

  • Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and taking payments by phone
  • Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Continuously improving, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare billing or customer service

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
