Junior Engineering Technician
The California Department of Water Resources is seeking a Junior Engineering Technician to join their Northern Region Office team. This role involves assisting Engineers with non-professional engineering tasks, including fieldwork such as installing stream gages and performing flow measurements.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Engineers in a variety of non-professional engineering work
- Installing stream gages
- Collecting stream stage, flow, temperature, and data at multiple stream gages
- Using Acoustic Doppler Meters and other measurement devices to perform flow measurements on fast moving water
- Must be able to swim
- Drive on and off road
- Travel on short notice and stay overnight, for several consecutive days, at field locations
