[Remote] Advanced Wind Travel Troubleshooting Technician- Vestas

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pearce Services is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure throughout North America. They are seeking Wind Travel Troubleshooting technicians certified on all Vestas platforms to perform maintenance and repairs on wind turbine generators and related equipment, requiring travel and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Calibrate and adjust turbine components to enhance performance
  • Conduct maintenance of equipment including resolving electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic malfunctions on Vestas turbines
  • Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems
  • Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) and associated equipment assembly, repair, and maintenance
  • Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements
  • Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, mopping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills

Skills

  • 1 year of relevant Wind experience
  • Twelve (12) months related Wind or Wind troubleshooting experience required
  • Vestas training
  • Vestas LOTO Certified
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely perform job duties, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet
  • Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds)
  • Tower Rescue/ Tractel and SRK 11 Certifications
