About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership for teams building and operating cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure using the .NET stack. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving architecture, code quality, delivery excellence, and DevOps maturity while partnering closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to execute on the roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for one or more delivery teams, owning solution design and technical direction.
  • Design, build, and evolve cloud-native applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6+/Core).
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
  • Architect and implement Azure-based solutions (App Services, Functions, AKS, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, SQL).
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; promote DevOps and automation best practices.
  • Partner with Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are met (performance, reliability, security, observability, scalability).
  • Lead technical troubleshooting of complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Drive technical debt management and modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong depth in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET).
  • Proven experience designing and leading delivery of cloud-native systems on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, environments, release strategies).
  • Experience leading technical design and acting as a primary technical owner for services or platforms.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful API design.
  • Solid experience with data persistence (Azure SQL/SQL Server, NoSQL where applicable).
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices (Clean Architecture, SOLID, automated testing, CI/CD).
  • Experience working in Agile/Kanban delivery models.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform).
  • Event-driven architectures (Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs).
  • Observability and monitoring (Application Insights, Azure Monitor).
  • Security best practices in cloud environments (identity, secrets management, least privilege).
  • Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305) a plus.
  • Frontend experience (React/Angular) a plus.
