The Accounting Manager – SaaS & Managed Services is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for owning day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close for technology-driven clients. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and process discipline while supporting scalable financial operations across Managed Services environments. The position partners closely with senior finance leadership without carrying full controllership or strategic finance accountability.

Within 90 days: 

  • Independently manages monthly close processes for assigned clients with accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Demonstrates strong command of CFOforIT accounting standards and client ERP systems. 

Within 6 months: 

  • Owns end-to-end accounting operations for multiple Managed Services clients. 
  • Produces reliable financial statements, reconciliations, and gross margin reporting. 

Within 12 months: 

  • Operates as a trusted execution partner to Controllers and Client CFO Leads. 
  • Contributes to improved close efficiency, accuracy, and process consistency across clients. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own full-cycle accounting operations for Managed Services clients. 
  • Lead monthly close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules. 
  • Execute revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting under established policies. 
  • Coordinate cost recognition aligned with payroll and service delivery data. 
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. 
  • Maintain accounting controls, documentation, and close checklists. 
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day user of client ERP systems. 
  • Review work of staff accountants and offshore teams as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience. 
  • Strong monthly close and ERP system experience. 
  • Experience supporting multiple entities or clients.
  • Experience in outsourced accounting or professional services. 
  • Familiarity with SaaS and recurring revenue models. 
  • Experience working with offshore teams. Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail. 
  • Process-oriented and disciplined executor. 
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities. 
  • Clear and professional communicator. 
  • Reliable, accountable, and deadline-driven.
