Position at Catapult Learning
Be a part of the Catapult Learning team to make a difference We are looking for a qualified and experienced Alternate Education Intervention Teacher in Alachua County.
- Multi-year/year-round program - starts as soon as possible and continues through 9/30/24 (summer included; must be available for entire duration of program)
- Reading and Math instruction via push-in sessions for grades 9-12 in Gainesville
- In-person programs at an alternative education campus with a neglected/delinquent student population (typically 2 grade levels behind)
- Part-time schedule of 14.5 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9:30a-12p
- $30 per hour

- Instruct to students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting.
- Deliver designated instructional models to eligible students.
- Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms/learning stations. Climbing stairs and light lifting may be required.
- Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines (student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, parent and classroom teacher communication forms, compliance documentation).
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Classroom teaching and/or tutoring experience
- Willingness and ability to teach various grade levels
- Must pass the Department of Justice background check process, including a drug screen
- Teaching Certificate is preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred
- Experience with Alternative Education environments a plus
