Data Governance Analyst– Remote

Overview

We are seeking to fill the role of Data Governance Analyst. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project and day-to-day support to LoanCare’s Enterprise Data Governance organization
  • Configure commercial scanning software to discover data assets and capture technical metadata
  • Configure commercial scanning software to analyze and classify data assets per LoanCare standards
  • Configure commercial scanning software to discover security roles and permissions associated with LoanCare data assets
  • Schedule scanning processes aligned with LoanCare policies, ERM guidance, and application change control to maintain the LoanCare data asset and classification inventory
  • Analyze classification outputs to identify exceptions, determine gaps, or false positives and improve classification rules
  • Create automated procedures to document, identify, collect, and analyze free-form text field data elements
  • Prepare management reports identifying status and projected document overall SCAN findings and manage gap remediation for access permissions
  • Diagnose/resolve scanning software problems, including recognition isolation, research of software/hardware errors/features (if required), and problem resolution
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • 4+ years of experience in information security, IT risk management, or security audit
  • 1+ year of experience in audit data analysis supporting legal and regulatory compliance
  • 1+ year of operational experience with data scanning, identification, and classification solutions
  • Strong customer service and training skills to educate/encourage stakeholders in the acceptance and promotion of data governance procedures
  • Ability to identify exceptions to data governance policies and procedures, analyze related processes and roles, and document/present recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to self-educate in the use of new systems, software applications, programming languages, and financial services regulatory environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone with all levels of the organization
