Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Veterinary Customer Services Representative to join our Small Animal Reception team. This full-time position (32 hours/week) requires varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, with opportunities for shift differential. As a Veterinary Customer Services Representative, you'll provide exceptional front-line client services, respond to routine and complex situations, and maintain accurate records and money handling practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to routine, complex, and medical emergency situations in a professional manner

  • Answer and direct internal and external calls appropriately
  • Create accurate day-to-day admitting information through the hospital computer system
  • Resolve routine problems and complex situations using medical terminology, office practices, and established customer service principles
  • Maintain safe and accurate money handling practices and abide by all university privacy standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

* 2 years of experience in a customer service, healthcare, or veterinary care environment

  • Background in customer services, insurance verification, and/or veterinary practice customer services
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with customers, visitors, clinicians, technicians, and all other medical center faculty and staff
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting information
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems and/or operating computers

* Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and veterinary practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The targeted hiring range for this position is $17.00-$21.69 per hour. arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance for employees and their dependents, and state or alternative retirement options with competitive employer contributions.
