Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry/Intake Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations by processing patient orders, managing incoming documents, and maintaining accurate patient profiles. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow. Responsibilities

* Create patient profiles and process orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues

  • Request refill prescriptions as appropriate
  • Manage incoming documents from the fax server
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of patient orders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles and records
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and payers
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Responsibilities

* Good interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
  • Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • Basic math and analytical skills
  • Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

Education and Experience

* Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, previous experience in pharmacy

  • Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
  • Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years
  • Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

Skills and Knowledge

* Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, intermediate typing/keyboarding skills

  • Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience

License or Certification

* Required: Pharmacy Technician registration/certification

  • Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)

* Required: Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time-management skills

Benefits and Perks

* Starting salary from $21.00 an hour and up

  • Quarterly incentive bonuses
  • Possible $500 bonus for technicians to obtain their CPhT and/or CPhT-ADV credentials
