The Role This will be a 12 week (40 hours per week) internship starting on June 8th 2026.

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our cloud team for the summer. The intern will focus on enhancing observability in our cloud environments using Datadog and OpenTelemetry, and developing customer portals to streamline onboarding processes. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge cloud technologies and the chance to contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in expanding our current Datadog implementation to include customer dashboards.
  • Develop and enhance customer portals to facilitate faster and more efficient onboarding.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for cloud monitoring and customer experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Document processes and provide training materials for internal and external users.

Project Bullet Points

Observability in Cloud Environments:

  • Expand existing Datadog implementation to include customer-specific dashboards.
  • Develop custom dashboards via the Datadog API using Node.js or C#.
  • Integrate alerting mechanisms within Datadog to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Optimize logging and tracing with OpenTelemetry to improve system visibility and troubleshooting.

Customer Portals for Onboarding:

  • Design and develop user-friendly interfaces for customer portals.
  • Automate onboarding workflows to reduce manual intervention.
  • Ensure secure access and data protection for customer information.
  • Gather feedback from users to continuously improve portal functionality.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Engineering Degree
  • Basic knowledge of Node.js or C#.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies such as Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week during the summer
