Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient and administrative data in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
  • Verifying, correcting, and auditing data entries to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring HIPAA compliance when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Performing regular data audits and assisting with data cleanup, migration, and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve data-related issues.
  • Meeting established productivity and quality standards within set deadlines.
  • Working independently in a fully remote, work-from-home environment.
  • Utilizing strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail to maintain data integrity.
  • Using proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and knowledge of medical terminology.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., health information management, medical records) preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry, medical records, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, ICD-10).
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Certification in health information management (RHIT or RHIA) or medical records (CMRS or CMMR).
