Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Senior Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering specific delegated customer service tasks assigned by a supervisor, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support to clients
  • Responding to requests by mail, telephone, or in person regarding insurance claims/policies, and providing accurate and timely information to clients
  • Performing research to respond to inquiries and interpreting policy provisions to determine the most effective response
  • Mailing or routing claim forms and supporting documentation to various units for final processing
  • Independently responding to inquiries, grievances, or complaints of moderate to substantial complexity
  • Completing day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision, but having ready access to advice from more experienced team members
  • Resolving non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members
  • Tasks involve a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and interpret policy provisions
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with 1-2 years of customer service, insurance verification, or related experience
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Office, and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, manuals, and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Willingness to work varying tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience taking inbound and outbound calls (30 calls per day)

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with third-party benefits verification experience preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare pharmaceutical and services a plus
  • Ability to work in a remote environment
