Fleet Systems Development Engineer (Zaventem, BE)

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

We're looking for a systems-minded developer to join our Fleet Systems team at TUI Airline, where you'll work at the exciting intersection of data, process, and aviation engineering systems. You'll help shape how our core maintenance system supports safe, efficient airline operations across Europe.

The role will be published until 15 April 2026.

ABOUT OUR OFFER

Personal benefits: Attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health & well-being support, and more.

Flexible working: Work is something you do, not somewhere you go. We encourage a healthy work-life balance with a dynamic working environment.

A career to shape: Access the TUI Learning Hub to level-up and reach your ambitions.

Broaden your network: We champion intercultural collaboration and provide opportunities to work on global projects and teams.

Community: Get involved with incredible local charity and sustainability initiatives like the TUI Care Foundation.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You'll contribute to strategic projects within our Engineering & Maintenance department's Digital Ecosystem, focusing on system development rather than customisation for its own sake.
  • We need you to develop and maintain solutions using AMOS as our core platform. While prior AMOS experience isn’t required—we’ll train you in a structured, supported environment—you should bring strong, hands-on experience with databases and data-driven systems.
  • Your role involves designing, analysing and optimising SQL queries and data extraction to meet operational and regulatory needs across the airline.
  • You'll evaluate incoming change requests to determine the best approach – whether that's a code-based solution or simply using the system as designed – helping us maintain system integrity.
  • Working within our Scrum framework, you'll support and develop robust interfaces between our ERP platform and other operational, financial, or engineering systems.
  • Collaboration is key: you'll work closely with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders across multiple European countries, contributing to sprint planning, reviews and demos.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have proven experience in a system development role or alternative relevant field, with strong skills in relational databases and SQL (analysis, optimisation, data extraction).
  • While a degree in computer science or related field is preferred, we strongly encourage you to apply if you don't have one but meet the other requirements. We value diverse backgrounds and relevant experience.
  • Your experience with complex enterprise systems or data-heavy platforms means you're comfortable translating business needs into clear system and data requirements.
  • You've worked with system integrations or automated interfaces, and you're comfortable in structured delivery environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • As a logical, analytical thinker, you enjoy solving system and process problems and are curious about learning highly specialised aviation platforms.
  • Experience in Scrum or Agile environments, exposure to regulated industries, or understanding of change management would be brilliant additions, though they're not essential.

From a workplace to a place to belong. At TUI we embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion, encouraging everyone to come as you are, because together, our potential is limitless.

We are committed to supporting candidates with disabilities and impairments so if you require any support, please do let us know.
