This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon’s safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across organizations to drive implementations and improvements across multiple sites.Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with the project management of technical projects
- Scheduled travel required 50% of the time; travel may exceed 50% in some instances with short notice
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Prior experience managing millwrights, maintenance technicians, fabricators, elevator mechanics, escalator mechanics, pipefitters, or aircraft mechanics
- Prior experience working for a material handling integrator
- Prior experience installing conveyor or sortation systems
