Staff Network Engineer - India

We are looking for a Staff Network Engineer to join our global team in helping to transform connectivity services across CME Group. The role is to help maintain and deliver global on-premise and cloud-based network services - design, implement, maintain (upgrades/patching), improvement and future roadmap across a wide range of network technologies and vendors. The team work closely with technology and business stakeholders to ensure one of the largest exchange network infrastructures in the world is highly available, resilient, secure and reliable. Responsibilities Ensure network security, availability and reliability Plan, execute, audit and document changes to the environment Provide technical authority and support for a wide range of network platforms Engage in complex technical troubleshooting and fault resolution Respond to NOCC escalations, including on-call rotation  Implement new initiatives and expansion of existing network infrastructure Support and implement application and service migrations to cloud Manage project work and deliver effective platform life-cycle management Identify and help deliver automation opportunities Collaborate to deliver global CME technology and business initiatives What we are looking for ... Required:   Proficiency in configuring and managing diverse network platforms   Strong understanding and evidence of implementing effective network security   Technical experience: Cisco/Arista/Juniper routing and switching   Technical experience: BGP/OSPF/PIM/IGMP protocols   Technical experience: enterprise firewalls   Technical experience: supporting cloud implementation / migration   Technical experience: provisioning, management and troubleshooting in GCP   Technical experience: DevOps/IaC - Terraform preferred   Technical experience: loadbalancing technologies - LTM and GTM   Technical experience: network automation and orchestration   Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail   Excellent communication skills - verbal and written   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience    Desired:   Technical experience: scripting and automation using Python   Technical experience: management & deployment of Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls    Technical experience: deploying and maintaining SDWAN and overlay technologies   Technical experience: DevOps using Ansible and Jenkins   Technical experience: enterprise wireless support   Relevant network certifications, eg: CCNP, CCIE, NSE, PCNSE   Relevant cloud certifications - Google preferred (PCNE, PCSE)
