SMX is seeking a Business Analyst to translate business needs into technical objectives by gathering user requirements, developing recommendations for implementation, and identifying solutions to satisfy the business need. This candidate will have experience reporting project status to management including risks, issues, and key decisions. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll work to communicate business needs across various stakeholders. You will work closely with clients and project teams. This role is remote supporting a Boston, MA based team with occasional travel.

To be successful as a Business Analyst, you should possess business analysis skills and requirements gathering skills needed to research and document complex business requirements, use cases, and test cases. You will investigate, troubleshoot, and enhance complex application functionality. This role will be participating in testing and other application support activities, as well. This is a remote role supporting a Boston, MA based customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand business processes and interpret them to define requirements, analyze current as-is processes and conceptualize to-be requirements.
  • Support the development of detailed user requirements, user stories, test scenarios and test cases.
  • Support solution developers and business subject matter experts with documentation of functional and technical processes using Lucid.
  • Develop detailed process maps and business process procedure documentation.
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions from the data as it relates to business processes.
  • Develop Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word documentation.
  • Work with subject matter experts to define performance measures and collection methodology.
  • Support project management activity including metric analysis, process analysis, system analysis, measuring success, and stakeholder and leadership reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills.

The proposed salary for this position is:$83,300—$138,800 USD
