What you will be doing As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work on various Big Data, Data Warehouse, and Analytics projects for our world-class clients. You will collaborate with project teams of varying sizes and compositions, which may include project managers, data engineers, and report developers. In this role, you will interact directly with clients to analyze and document requirements, contribute to the design of data and analytical solutions, and support the successful delivery of project outcomes. You will primarily work with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Fabric, Dynamics 365, and Power BI. In your day-to-day you will be responsible for Analyze data processes to understand, document, and revise those processes Analyze, clean, and study data to achieve specific project outcomes Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and analysis sessions with clients to understand data needs Translate client data requirements into actions that support the development of data solutions Work within project teams, typically consisting of 3–5 people, to deliver client data projects Establish patterns and best practices for data analysis, transformation, cleansing, and requirements translation Identify and support data governance policies and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to data management and analytics capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data processes to understand, document, and revise those processes
  • Analyze, clean, and study data to achieve specific project outcomes
  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and analysis sessions with clients to understand data needs
  • Translate client data requirements into actions that support the development of data solutions
  • Work within project teams, typically consisting of 3–5 people, to deliver client data projects
  • Establish patterns and best practices for data analysis, transformation, cleansing, and requirements translation
  • Identify and support data governance policies and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to data management and analytics capabilities

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills tying together technology and architecture to achieve business outcomes
  • At least 2 years of consulting experience in a data analyst role
  • At least 5 years of experience in data and analytics or closely related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience working with SQL
  • Understanding of data management and data visualization practices
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and concepts such as data mappings, transformations, and pipeline orchestration
  • Proficiency with data modeling and data analysis tools
  • Basic knowledge of data architecture concepts including storage, engineering, modeling, performance, and governance
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Microsoft SQL technology stack including SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure data platforms such as Power BI, Fabric, Synapse, and Data Factory
  • Experience working in Azure DevOps with Boards, Repos, and Pipelines
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and its data
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance activities for data applications and reporting
