Cisco Splunk Security Architect – Pre-Sales

Role Overview

As a Cisco Splunk Architect in Pre-Sales, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, designing advanced Splunk based observability and security solutions that align with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with account executives, solution engineers, and delivery teams to translate technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture
  • Develop high-level and detailed Cisco Splunk architectures tailored to client requirements.
  • Create design documents, diagrams, and proposals that clearly articulate technical solutions and value.
  • Pre-Sales Engagement
  • Participate in discovery sessions with clients to understand business needs and technical challenges.
  • Deliver presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements showcasing Cisco technologies inclusive of Splunk.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Splunk solutions during RFP/RFI responses.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to position solutions competitively and differentiate offerings.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Integrate security best practices into Splunk implementations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific governance requirements.
  • Thought Leadership
  • Stay current on Cisco innovations and emerging technologies.
  • Provide input on go-to-market strategies and contribute to technical enablement sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience
  • 5+ years in security architecture with a strong focus on Splunk technologies.
  • Proven track record in pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Technical Expertise o Deep knowledge of Splunk disciplines
  • Familiarity with automation tools and multi-vendor environments.
  • Soft Skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive-level discussions.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Certifications
  • Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) Certified Admin, a plus
  • Splunk Accredited Enterprise Security (ES) Implementation, a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
