Technical Architect (Salesforce / Alibaba Cloud)

We are seeking a Technical Architect to define and govern the end-to-end architecture phase for a Salesforce migration to Alibaba Cloud. This role is critical in ensuring platform scalability, compliance with China-specific constraints, and successful deployment of Salesforce and Kaptio components within the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define target architecture for Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud, including integrations and data flows
  • Lead design of migration approach, including metadata, data, and integration layers
  • Architect deployment of Kaptio API and service layer within Alibaba Cloud infrastructure
  • Ensure compatibility of Salesforce managed packages within the target environment
  • Define integration patterns (event-driven, asynchronous) for cross-border and in-country systems
  • Govern technical design decisions and ensure alignment with performance and security requirements
  • Collaborate with client’s infrastructure and middleware teams related to Alibaba Cloud

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 8+ years of Salesforce architecture experience (Application or Technical Architect level)
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform (Apex, integrations, data model, security).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex system integrations
  • Experience with large-scale data migration and platform transformation
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce on Alibaba Cloud
  • Familiarity with China-specific constraints (ICP, firewall, latency, banned services)
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with complex managed packages and ISV architectures
  • Experience with high-volume transactional systems (e.g., booking, payments)
  • Travel & Hospitality domain experience (booking, reservations, pricing, inventory)
Skills & Qualifications
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (strongly preferred)
  • Strong system design and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to balance pragmatism with architectural rigor
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and environment management strategies
