Job Title: Remote Network Administrator
Location: Remote (U.S. Only) Job Type: Full-time Salary: $120,000 $150,000 per year (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to manage and maintain our companys IT network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure network security, performance, and reliability, while troubleshooting issues and optimizing systems. This is a fully remote position, but applicants must be based in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance and security, ensuring uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, firewall, and VPN issues.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security protocols.
- Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and backups.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support server and cloud infrastructure.
- Document network configurations and create reports on network performance.
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in network administration, IT support, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking.
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
