As a Power BI developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI reports and interactive dashboards aligned with business requirements.
  • Maintain and optimize data analytics platforms to ensure consistently high query and model performance.
  • Work with complex Power BI semantic models and large datasets, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Connect to various data sources and transform data into actionable insights through Power Query.
  • Conduct analysis with a strong focus on query optimization and data efficiency
  • Evaluate, refactor, and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Present information through high-performance reports and complex visualizations tailored to business needs
  • Create technical documentation to support scalable Power BI solutions
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
  • Train and support end-users on Power BI functionality, ensuring they can utilize the tools effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering

Requirements

  • English level – B2 or higher
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of SQL with ability to write optimized queries for complex datasets.
  • Proficiency with DAX, including performance optimization, context transition, advanced calculations, implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
  • Proficiency in Power Query, including experience with complex transformations.
  • Proven ability to transform complex data into compelling visual reports and dashboards.
  • Proficient in data visualization best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Strong technical documentation skills

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience with designing and implementing a data warehouse
  • Experience working in Agile environments like Scrum/Kanban
  • Experience integrating Power BI reports into websites (Power BI Embedded)
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Microsoft Business Intelligence and SQL certifications
  • Knowledge of CI/CD for Power BI (Deployment Pipelines or Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with Fabric Dataflows, Lakehouses, or Power BI Premium features.
