Credit Analyst - 9-month Fixed-Term
Coast Capital Savings is a member-owned cooperative dedicated to helping its members achieve their financial goals. They are seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze credit submissions and provide approvals for loans and leases, while also assisting in the development of training processes for equipment loans and leases.
Responsibilities
- Conducts random audits. Ensures appropriate action is taken in regard to results, i.e.: documentation, follow up, and reporting
- Maintains regular contact and a reciprocal relationship on behalf of the CTG with various outside agencies and related offices (e.g.: Law Firms, Brokers, other Credit Unions etc)
- Effectively communicates credit decisions to applicable staff in a clear, concise and respectful manner
- Provides timely and accurate application ajuducation as detailed in the SLA
- Lending limits up to $250,000.00 dependant on experience level and aptitude
Skills
- Minimum 1 – 3 Years of Job-Related Experience
- High School Diploma plus completion of a Certificate Program (equivalent to one full year or 10 courses)
- Successful completion of all in-house commercial /equipment Lending courses, or equivalent work experience
- Expert understanding of the Loans Origination System
- Proficient knowledge of PC's; including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Working knowledge of presentation equipment and software
- Expert understanding of Compass Application System
- Advanced financial services background
- Expert knowledge of all aspects and functions of CTG lease/ lending products, polices and procedures
- Advanced knowledge of risk management as it relates to credit underwriting
- Expert interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Willingness to work on a team in a busy, ever changing, and occasionally stressful environment
