Job description: Overview:
Our ideal Technology Solutions Manager candidate would have the opportunity to work remote from any location with proximity to either of our hubs in New Jersey, Atlanta-GA, Chicago-IL, Dallas-TX, Los Angeles-CA, Detriot-MI, Scottsdale or Phoenix-AZ. The Technology Solutions Manager reports to the Director, Technology Solutions and is responsible for customer-facing technology solutions and perform technology product owner roles. These customer facing platforms include, but not limited to: Logistics SuperSuite+, Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, and Integration (EDI/API) services. For this position, there will be a heavier focus on Land Transportation Management Systems and services.
Customer facing responsibilities include:
- Pre-Sales Support RFI/RFP Preparation, Presentation Preparation, Solution Strategy etc.
- Sales Support Collaboration with product owner and sales leads to create technology solutions pitch to customers, perform application demonstrations in support of the sales process and requirements discovery.
- Post-Sales Support Requirements discovery, documentation, and solution design collaboration with business and technical teams (Scope of Work, Business Requirements Documentation etc.)
- Implementation Support Identifying and validating IT business solutions to meet customers implementation requirements. Collaboration with IT, Customer Support and Operations. Assist in setup and training
- Post Implementation Support key/strategic account support for new technology requirements and solution design.
- Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on behalf of customers and provides feedback on application releases and rollouts.
- Determine investment opportunities based on business and financial objectives.
- Create and manage roadmap of prioritized future capabilities.
- Identify technology solutions to meet business and financial objectives.
- Ensure alignment with companys maxims and enterprise technology standards.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in any of the following disciplines: computer science, information technology, supply chain engineering or supply chain logistics.
- Minimum 7 years of well-rounded technology, logistics operations and customer-faced experience.
- Establishes and maintains support from key stakeholders within and across relevant business units to identify, then achieve, product objectives and outcomes, consistent with the relevant cultural norms.
- Builds both formal and informal professional networks among relevant internal and external stakeholders and influencers, in a manner designed to maximize the success of the product.
- Develops product strategies, vision and roadmaps that align with the architecture and technology direction of the enterprise.
- Has a broad perspective that informs product definition and delivery from both customer insights and business model design balancing these perspectives consistent with business profit and loss or internal goals.
- Considers product-line/business unit and enterprise priorities, strategies, goals, emerging technologies, industry trends and economic viability across the relevant product portfolio.
- Understands and can operate within the domains of any core technologies that the product requires to deliver capabilities (artificial intelligence or machine learning, for example) if required.
- Is effective in translating technical language into business language as needed to bridge the gap between business and technical professionals engaged in the full product value stream.
- Engages business units and enterprise management on resolving trade-offs of scope, priority, business and technical risk, and business impact of dependencies among multiple products.
- Is effective at conveying the product vision and other messages requiring action, in a way that brings people on board with the vision and builds their enthusiasm about fulfilling it.
- Experience working in a global environment.
