Senior Research Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Senior Research Consultant with a strong background in brand marketing, content strategy, and an in-depth understanding of the social media landscape.This role demands a passion for short-form video platforms, digital trends, and shaping the future of how brands connect with audiences in innovative, dynamic ways. As part of our Professional Services team, you will be embedded with a high-profile client in the social media and digital engagement space. You will lead a team of analysts, delivering insights and tailored recommendations that align with the client’s goals in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. What you'll do

• Brand Marketing & Content Strategy Expertise: Apply your deep knowledge of brand marketing principles and content strategy to ensure insights and recommendations are aligned with the client’s brand goals and audience engagement strategies.
• Expertise in Social Media & Digital Trends: Leverage an advanced understanding of social media platforms, metrics, and trends to contextualize insights and deliver forward-thinking recommendations that address the client’s needs.
• Passion for the Platform: Bring an innate enthusiasm for the power of short-form video and social storytelling, with a keen ability to identify and articulate platform-specific opportunities that align with the client’s goals.
• Insight Generation & Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights, delivering data-backed recommendations that drive strategic outcomes.
• Custom Reporting & Recommendations: Develop and deliver customized reports and presentations that connect insights with the client’s brand strategy and objectives, emphasizing actionable outcomes.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of analysts, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality, client-aligned deliverables.
• Collaboration with Client Teams: Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand objectives, refine research goals, and ensure deliverables meet their expectations.
• Project Management: Manage multiple workflows, ensuring timely delivery of insights while coordinating effectively with internal and client teams. What you have
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Professional Experience:5+ years of experience in research, analytics, or insights roles, with a focus on client-facing work and team management. Demonstrated expertise in brand marketing, content strategy, and social media insights.
• Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of social media platforms (especially short-form video and creative storytelling), digital engagement trends, and content creation strategies.
• Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into compelling findings and actionable recommendations.
• Client-Centric Mindset: Proven ability to develop insights and recommendations that directly impact client strategy, showing passion for driving brand growth and innovation.
• Passion for Social Creativity: Genuine enthusiasm for exploring the evolving world of social storytelling and short-form video, with the ability to identify innovative opportunities that resonate with audiences.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project & Team Management: Experience managing multiple client-facing projects, team workflows, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Boolean search or filtering techniques to isolate relevant data for research purposes.
• Background working in professional services or consulting environments with high-profile clients in the social media or digital engagement space.
• Collaborative mindset with a strong ability to work cross-functionally both within internal teams and in partnership with client teams. $110,000 - $126,000 a year For Individuals based in Colorado, Washington, New York, and California, Cision is required to disclose a compensation range for this role. The range of $110,000 - 126,000 is specific to these locations and includes base salary and on-Nexlith commission earnings. Cision offers competitive, uncapped on-Workora commission earnings.
