Job Description Tesla's Autonomy Telemetry team focuses on collecting and processing data crucial for the development of Autopilot and Tesla Bot technologies. The team employs imitation learning to train Tesla Bot for new tasks by gathering a vast array of human demonstrations to create a comprehensive dataset for training neural networks. A central component of this role involves developing a cutting-edge VR rig for Bot Operators to experience the world as Tesla Bot does, further allowing them to remotely operate the robot for complex tasks. This position requires collaboration with hardware teams to define requirements, make design decisions, and implement software integration for the custom VR data collection system.
