Job Title: REMOTE ECAD Librarian

Job Description

Join our team as an ECAD Librarian to support a satellite constellation program. You will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing library management tools for Project Kuiper. Your expertise will contribute to the successful creation and maintenance of electronic component libraries.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the definition and implementation of library management tools including Padstack, Cell, Symbol, and Part editor.
  • Utilize Siemens Xpedition library tools for managing Library Manager, Padstack, Cell, Symbol, and Part Editors.
  • Engage with Siemens EDM Library tools to enhance library management processes.
  • Assist in high-speed digital PCB design, focusing on signal and power integrity.
  • Interpret mechanical and package dimensional drawings or electrical component datasheets with accuracy.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist engineers with tool usage, explaining part construction methods.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of full-time experience as an eCAD librarian.
  • Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition library tools: Library Manager, Padstack, Cell, Symbol, and Part Editors.
  • Experience with component package types, interchangeability, and tradeoffs.
  • Ability to follow directions with precision under pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with aerospace designs, especially those related to space, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and EIA industry standards.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficiency in using a 2D vector-based drafting tool, such as AutoCAD, for translating data between DXF files and PCB Library CAD tools.
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence workflow collaboration tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote, providing you with the convenience and comfort of working from your preferred location. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Redmond, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
