AI Automation Specialist - Client Success

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

Overview

Sprout is a global IT hardware retirement provider for hyperscaler and enterprise clients. We leverage a global footprint combined with proprietary software to enable efficient end-to-end IT asset disposition. The company is headquartered in Charlotte (US) with additional operations near Sacramento (US), Dallas (US), Boston (US), and Manchester (UK). Sprout provides software and services to clients in the form of our IT Asset Disposition, Certified Destruction, and Responsible Recycling solutions. Since our founding as an electronic waste startup from a Duke University dorm room in 2014, we have been expanding at an average rate of >50% each year. By adhering to our 3 values (One Sprout, Deliver Excellence, and Integrity Matters), we are proud of our culture to move at #SproutSpeed seeking to become the emerging leader in our industry. AI Automation Specialist Sprout is seeking an AI Automation Specialist to supercharge our Customer Success organization by identifying and eliminating manual, repetitive workflows. This role is for a self-starter who’s obsessed with productivity, automation, and systems integration—someone who can see how data and processes flow across tools, and who refuses to do anything manually twice. The ideal candidate is a digital native who plays with GPTs, no-code platforms, and automation frameworks for fun. You thrive on problem-solving, build fast, and love showing teams what’s possible when work runs on autopilot.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities · Map customer success and service workflows end-to-end to identify friction points and automation opportunities. · Build and maintain automations using tools like Zapier, Make, Airtable, HubSpot, Slack workflows, or custom GPTs and APIs. · Prototype and deploy internal GPTs or agents to handle repetitive communication, reporting, and follow-up tasks. · Integrate data flows between CRM, support, logistics, and reporting systems to reduce manual data entry and improve accuracy. · Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to understand recurring processes (e.g., onboarding, SLA reporting, asset tracking) and develop digital solutions. · Measure and report automation impact in terms of time saved, accuracy, and customer experience improvement. · Document automations and maintain version control for scalability and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Qualifications · Deep curiosity about AI and how it transforms work. You experiment constantly with new tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Relevance AI, AgentOps, etc.). · Demonstrated experience automating workflows—could be in Zapier, Python, Apps Script, Notion, Airtable, Retool, or similar. · Comfort connecting APIs and thinking about how systems communicate. · A builder’s mindset: rapid iteration, testing, and deployment over perfect planning. · Strong collaboration and communication skills; you make complex tech accessible to non-technical teammates. · Bias toward simplicity and scalability—you design for humans, not just code. · No specific degree or years of experience required—we care about results and curiosity. · NOTE: you will be tested in the interview process to build a simple automation with triggers, intent labelling, guardrails, routing/actions, and a learning loop (using tools of your choice).
