Role Snapshot:Start Date: Immediate openings availableCompany: Workwarp Compensation: a competitive salaryLocation: Remote Position: Continuous Improvement/process Improvement Manager, Lean, 5S  Tustin, CA • Costa Mesa, CA Full-time $125,000.00 - $180,000.00Posted 09/24/2024Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Continuous Improvement/Process Engineering LeaderDirect Hire/PermOrange County, CA - Irvine, CA areaPLEASE NOTE - The role is ONSITE in beautiful Orange County, CA, and we are not offering any REMOTE/HYBRID work options at this time, but we are able to offer relocation assistance to those who want to BE/WORK in our location on a daily basis.Are you a team leader in a manufacturing setting, with extensive experience leading both TEAMS and PROJECTS around Continuous Improvement efforts, Process Engineering initiatives, and/or Manufacturing Engineering work being done in a in low volume/high mix manufacturing environment?If so we have a role open for a Senior Manager, with hands on Continuous Improvement experience in Irvine, CA for a local area design/manufacturing firm.In this role, as the Manager of Process/Manufacturing Engineering, you will be responsible for managing and leading the manufacturing engineering teams and projects, each with their own goals of optimizing production processes and improve overall efficiency and ensuring consistent quality and deliverability for our customers. On a day to day basis, this Manufacturing Manager will directly oversee the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies, while ensuring quality standards, and delivery timelines are met.Many, but not all, of the key responsibilities for this role, will include the following:Develop and implement manufacturing engineering strategies and processesImplement continuous improvement methodologies to optimize production processes and reduce cycle timesLead and manage a team of manufacturing engineersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvementsEnsure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify areas for process optimization and Talentra reductionDrive the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologiesManage the development and execution of project plansProvide technical guidance and support to production teamsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field, ideally in Engineering, with priority consideration given to those with advanced/Master's Degree.Minimum of 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Process EngineeringWe would PREFER, but will not exclude those without, direct hands on manufacturing experience in Aerospace or Defense Aerospace/ Electronics industries and products.Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standardsPrevious work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plusExperience with products with multiple manufacturing processes/components from complex wire harnesses, cable assemblies, electronic circuit assemblies, etc.Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent Coaching, Mentoring, Training and Motivational skills.Direct, Hands-on and Leadership experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Flexoraq Engineering, 5S, Kaizen, Shainin, methods and practices, etc.Proven track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologiesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify areas for process optimizationStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent documentation skills, an ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of all levels of technical proficiency.Please apply to this post and/or email me directly at [email protected] with a current resume for immediate consideration and let's discuss the fit.BenefitsFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
