About the Role

Conduent is seeking an experienced IT Testing Engineer to support the validation, performance, and quality of our software systems. In this role, you will apply strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills to ensure applications meet business requirements and deliver optimal functionality. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, follow established testing frameworks, and help drive high‑quality releases in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and evaluate software solutions within an Agile methodology.
  • Create comprehensive test models for release testing, including test plans, scripts, and required test data.
  • Lead and coordinate release testing activities as needed.
  • Estimate testing timelines and deliver work according to established schedules.
  • Develop Release Test Plans and user acceptance criteria, including defined entry and exit criteria.
  • Maintain and update standardized testing procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and software vendors.
  • Assist in planning, building, and maintaining test environments.
  • Adhere to standardized testing methodologies and processes.
  • Coordinate testing-related tasks within release cycles.
  • Participate in structured walkthroughs and peer reviews.
  • Execute release testing and validate installation procedures.
  • Engage in “Lessons Learned” sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution and closure.
  • Clarify ambiguous requirements and drive testing to successful outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues using structured methodologies.
  • Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior QA professional, with deep expertise in software testing.
  • Strong experience developing test plans, estimates, schedules, and test strategies.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Solid experience in Database testing and Batch job testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, execute, and debug test cases, scripts, plans, and strategy documents.
  • 4+ years of experience working within SDLC-based projects (Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience preparing Defect Status Reports and Daily/Weekly testing status updates.
  • Health Insurance industry knowledge required—including Pharmacy, Claims Processing, PBM, ICD‑9/10, Medicare, or Medicaid.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and Confluence.
  • Ability to interpret and document business and technical testing requirements across varying development methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with Test Management tools such as JIRA, Xray, and Azure DevOps (VSTS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present test results to multiple audiences.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for automation.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard automated testing and/or performance testing tools.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $80-85K annually.
