Key Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service/Sales associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
- Learning about products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
- Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
Department Sales Opportunities:
As a Customer Service/Sales associate at arenaflex, you may have the opportunity to work in one of the following departments:
- Department Sales: Focus on selling products in a specific department
- Lead Generator: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Pro Account Sales: Build relationships with professional customers and drive sales growth
- Sales Specialist: Develop expertise in a specific product area and provide guidance to customers
- Special Services: Provide specialized services to customers, such as installation or delivery
- Customer Order Specialist: Assist customers with placing orders and resolving any issues
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a retail or sales environment
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, or other products sold at arenaflex
- Experience working in a team environment and providing excellent customer service
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
