Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to inquiries received through phone and/or email from customers about the Specialized Services program and scheduling approved household waste pickups
  • Communicating concise and accurate information to customers, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations are exceeded
  • Utilizing authorized systems to gather information, provide updates, and maintain customer records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Producing reports as requested by management, providing valuable insights into customer interactions and service delivery
  • Confirming understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests, and addressing them promptly and professionally
  • Organizing, creating, and mailing participant kits prior to scheduled pickup dates, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery
  • Performing outbound call campaigns as needed, further enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in a customer service or call center environment, handling customer requests, account or order changes, and issues
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong keyboarding skills and professional phone etiquette, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Ability to handle stress and multitask effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
  • Energetic and tenacious achievement orientation, with a focus on delivering results and exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to react well under pressure, treat others with respect, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities effectively
  • Focus on solving conflicts and listening to others without interrupting, ensuring that customer needs are met and expectations are exceeded
