Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and support of our cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues on various projects, including data pipeline design, development, and maintenance. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality data products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop scalable, cloud-based data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and technologies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan, and execute data pipeline projects
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and delivery
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data pipeline lifecycle
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to streamline data pipeline operations
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of data pipelines
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Docker, GitLab, and Windstream
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS

  • Proficiency in cloud design and product development
  • Experience with source control tools, such as GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience using Docker and containerization
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies
  • Experience working with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights
