Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Healthcare Insurance Agent/Customer Care Representative. As a trusted representative of arenaflex, you'll serve as a key point of contact for clients and members, providing expert guidance and support throughout the benefits education process. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients and members.

Job Duration and Employment Type

This is a 6+ months contract position, with the possibility of extension. As an as-needed basis employee, you'll work on a flexible schedule, with no guaranteed hours. However, we're committed to providing a stable and secure work environment, with opportunities for growth and development.

Pay Rate and Location

You'll be paid a competitive hourly rate of $25.76, with the option to work as a W2 employee. To ensure seamless communication and collaboration, we require that you live within a 120-mile radius of New York, NY. Reliable transportation and a willingness to commute within that radius are also essential.

Travel Requirements

As a Healthcare Insurance Agent/Customer Care Representative, you'll be required to travel to benefit fairs and other events within the designated radius. You must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be willing to commute to these events.

Role and Responsibilities

As a trusted representative of arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing a high-level overview of member plans and answering questions based on training received
  • Confidently and professionally servicing members, clients, and other key stakeholders during events
  • Attending an annual training provided by arenaflex to stay informed about the industry, organization, and role
  • Participating in a one-hour training with the account team at least 48 hours before the benefit fair to learn about the client, plan details, and key talking points

Event Expectations

To ensure a successful and professional experience, you'll be expected to:

  • Maintain professional attire and demeanor at all times
  • Proactively greet and assist attendees at the booth
  • Distribute flyers, product details, and promotional materials
  • Complete a health fair questionnaire emailed after the event

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Strong communication skills to professionally and knowledgeably interact with attendees
  • Comfortable speaking in front of small groups and demonstrating sales ability
  • Probing question skills to identify needs and expectations
  • Previous industry experience with health benefits
