Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service and Sales professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing fast, friendly, and personalized service to our customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance
  • Learning about our products and services using our tools and training programs, and providing information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
  • Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing sales with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Working cooperatively with Department Supervisors and other associates in their department and other departments to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
  • Participating in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new products and services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales environment, particularly in the home improvement or building materials industry
  • Knowledge of arenaflex products and services, or a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
  • Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Certification in sales or customer service, such as the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designations
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
