Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. As a Commercial Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing a large book of business, providing exceptional customer service, and applying problem-solving techniques to various issues concerning cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, and carrier issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a large, established book of business, including commercial insurance accounts

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining client relationships
  • Review insurance contracts for inaccuracies and process endorsements, placement requests, and invoicing
  • Complete and prepare certificates, proposals, policy summaries, and reviews
  • Check policy coverage and endorsements on all new business and renewals
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to various issues concerning cancellations, claims, renewal issues, audits, receivables, and carrier issues
  • Work independently or as part of a team to achieve business objectives
  • Directly responsible for the retention of all accounts assigned to the team

Essential Qualifications

* Active P&C license

  • Prior experience in a client-facing role, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, including admitted and non-admitted carriers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in various computer programs, including insurance software

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with various insurance products and maintaining client relationships

  • Ability to handle new and renewal submissions
  • Strong knowledge of insurance contracts and policies
  • Experience with claims handling and resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
