The Role

We're seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Dallas office. This critical role is responsible for driving new business growth and achieving individual sales targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Proactively building and maintaining relationships with existing clients to increase sales potential and meet sales objectives
  • Owning the sales cycle from start to finish, with a focus on closing deals
  • Utilizing CRM software (HubSpot) to track and move business through the pipeline and sales process for accurate forecasting
  • Providing cost estimates, credit terms, and sales plans for orders received
  • Working with clients to design and implement energy efficiency solutions
  • Identifying new sales opportunities through professional referrals, client references, and other means
  • Gathering sales data to track the effectiveness of sales efforts and adjust strategies to improve results
  • Communicating with current and prospective clients about products, installation, pricing, and lead times in a way that adheres to sales practices and promotes clear communication
  • Understanding and conveying motivation programs/contributions to clients, when applicable
  • Preparing sales reports and maintaining account records
  • Entering new client information and other sales data into the CRM database

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two or more years of related experience or training; or a combination of education and experience

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
  • Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Valid, insurable driver's license
