About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients. Scope of Work The purpose of this job is to coordinate and direct all compliance functions within the Department of Diagnostic of Imaging to include Joint Commission, State and Federal agencies. Monitors and reporting of Patient Safety and Quality activities. Oversee radiation badges. Organizing continuing education for the department. Review coding and billing codes, dictated radiology reports, technologist charging and documentation in EPIC in areas for non-compliance. Monitor educational professional requirements. Assist with revenue cycle activities. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

A. Education / Training: · Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) · Accredited Radiography program preferred. · Equivalent experience in the management of Imaging records/processes or a more advanced operational role within the Imaging department. B. Work Experience: · Staff Radiology Technologist level minimum of 5 years’ radiology/clinical experience and/or 5 years’ experience preferred in a more advanced operational role within the Imaging department. C. Certification, Licensure, Registration: · None unless RT. · RT must have a Certification by American Registry of Radiologic technologists; Must remain in good standing with the ARRT. D. Other Qualifications: · Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
