Job Overview

As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of home and music experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, test, and refine new products that meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. With a focus on sustainability, affordability, and aesthetics, you'll be responsible for creating products that not only delight our customers but also contribute to a better world.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams to develop innovative product concepts and solutions

• Conceptualize and design new products that meet the needs of our customers, with a focus on user experience, sustainability, and affordability
• Create, model, assess, and investigate new product designs using various tools and techniques
• Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design feedback sessions
• Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
• Develop detailed specifications and drawings for product development
• Work with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize product design for manufacturability, quality, and cost
• Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Approve and describe product designs through various iterations
• Foster deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production
• Ensure that products meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier equipment to our customers

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Strong foundation in design principles, with a passion for innovation and creativity
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other product development methodologies
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
• Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Experience in product development, with a focus on home and music experiences
• Knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Scrum frameworks
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products
