Position Summary: Are you someone who loves to learn new things, enjoys working with technology, and has a knack for detail? As a full-time Long Term Care Insurance Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing premiums, implementing premium changes, building process enhancements, and managing our Long Term Care products. This is an exciting role for an individual who is always wanting to learn new things, likes to dabble in technology without being in an IT department, is proficient in mathematics, and is detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of premium rate management, rate change notifications, and related daily activities.
  • Learn and manage existing process tool and reports in SAS, Excel, etc. and support efforts for enhancements and automation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and research to assist in solving business issues and prepare communications of results.
  • Maintain process and procedure documentation.
  • Participate in large-scale department projects.
  • Comply with appropriate regulations and company policies/guidelines.
  • Develop business knowledge and customer relationships with various departments within the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Communication, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Excel, Access, and programming skills (Power Query, VBA or SQL) a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude – ability to learn and master new software and propose automation solutions.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment to meet department goals while taking ownership of the work with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to research problems, identify the root cause and propose solutions.
  • Advanced Excel, Access, and programming skills (VBA or SQL) a plus.
  • Experience with SAS a plus.
  • Prior insurance experience a plus.
