About the position For more than 25 years Catharsis Productions has helped create safe and respectful communities by challenging oppressive attitudes and shifting behavior. Through innovative, accessible, and relatable programs, workshops, and consulting, we move the needle and strive for cultural change. We are currently seeking a full-time, remote eLearning Implementation Specialist . The eLearning Implementation Specialist will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations for the Online Programs Department. This employee is responsible for the project management, and maintenance of college and university clients on a proprietary online training platform and assisting licensed users with technical support needs. This is a technical implementation role, not a traditional help desk position. You'll be responsible for configuring complex, multi-variable eLearning programs from the ground up—managing intricate setups where every client deployment is unique. Success requires exceptional attention to detail, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to build client relationships primarily through written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy approximately 100 unique eLearning program setups annually, with each program containing multiple technical variables including content customization, SFTP file path configuration, roster formatting and uploads, SSO authentication and testing, and automated reporting workflows
  • Build and edit programs using Articulate Storyline; publish files for internal LMS and create SCORM packages in accordance with client specifications
  • Conduct quality assurance and accessibility testing on all program content and functionality
  • Oversee automated reporting systems and email workflows to ensure consistent delivery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to program setup, integration failures, and system configurations (Note: This is not end-user help desk support; you'll be solving complex technical problems related to program implementation and system integrations)
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships primarily through email communication, providing clear technical explanations, proactive updates, and professional responsiveness throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Enter and verify data accurately in Salesforce CRM
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in technical implementation, system configuration, or learning technology deployment (not help desk or end-user support)
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-variable technical setups where each implementation requires unique configuration
  • Experience with client-facing multi-dependency technical project timelines and deliverables
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS): understanding of functionality, structure, configuration, SCORM standards, user management
  • eLearning Development Tools: working knowledge of Articulate Storyline for building, editing, and publishing content
  • Data Management Systems: CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), data integrity principles, basic reporting
  • File Transfer/Security/Accessibility: SFTP protocols, file paths, secure data exchange, data-handling procedures, WCAG/508 guidelines and eLearning best practices
  • Microsoft Office Suite: proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • LMS Configuration & Administration: multi-step program setup including content uploads, roster formatting, reporting, SFTP configuration, automated workflows
  • Complex Configuration Management: ability to work with programs containing numerous variables, dependencies, and unique specifications; maintain accuracy across concurrent projects with different technical requirements
  • Technical Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve LMS issues, roster failures, file transfer problems, user access issues
  • Quality Assurance Testing: test content functionality, navigation, authentication, accessibility, and reporting with high attention to detail
  • Documentation & Process Management: maintain clear records of configurations, requirements, and troubleshooting steps
  • Client Communication: translate technical concepts into user-friendly language; provide effective support via email and video conferencing
  • Project Management: manage multiple concurrent deadlines involving technical and non-technical dependencies
  • Data Analysis: analytical thinking with strong spreadsheet proficiency
  • Attention to Detail: exceptional precision required—each program setup is unique, and configuration errors can impact entire client deployments. Ability to systematically verify multiple technical components before launch
  • Proofreading & Quality Control: identify errors in content, configuration, data entry, and testing
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined; able to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented mindset: ability to track and manage numerous unique variables across multiple concurrent programs without losing accuracy
  • Comfort with complexity: energized (not overwhelmed) by technical challenges involving multiple moving parts and dependencies
  • Professional demeanor: respectful, friendly, and service-oriented with clients and colleagues
  • Written communication strength: professional, clear, and proactive email communication style that builds client confidence
  • Comfort level: able to work with sensitive content related to sexual assault, harassment, domestic violence, stalking, and substance use

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in eLearning and LMS platform deployment preferred
  • Experience with Articulate preferred, experience with other course authoring tools a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with HappyFox or other tech support ticketing system a plus
