MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a Remote Order Entry Technician for our Data Entry department. We are a long term care pharmacy that provides medications to residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehab centers & group homes. This is a full time position that qualifies for a full suite of benefits.

The available shift are:

• Mon-Fri: 3pm-11:30pm with an every other weekend rotation

This position qualifies for a $2,000 sign-on bonus!

The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively over the phone with facility staff, practitioners, and/or patients to address customer service issues and field questions relating to patient care. The Data Entry Technician is also responsible for the accurate and efficient entry of patient and medication information into the computer system.

Essential Job Functions

· Enter and maintain patient information and medication orders using the computer system

· Answer incoming phone calls and field questions

· Clarify information with customers as needed

· Maintain a professional and helpful attitude in all levels of customer service

· Additional duties as assigned

· Demonstrate excellent organizational skills

· Must be detail oriented

· Hard-working and self-motivated

· Effective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

· Must work well in a team environment as well as on your own

· Ability to work well in stressful situations

· Ability to visually examine a large volume of documents

· Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot

Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or PTCB Certification

· Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

· Exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills

· Framework and ECM systems experience

· 1-2 years long-term care pharmacy experience

· Previous order entry experience preferred

· Previous customer service experience preferred
